You might be wondering...

Moving to Thailand is exciting — and we know you have questions.
Here are the most common ones people ask before joining CLBS.

Why should I apply at CLBS Ltd.?

CLBS is one of the largest employers of Europeans in Northern Thailand.
We offer stable, legal jobs with visa, work permit, and insurance — and a friendly, international team right in the heart of Chiang Mai. You’ll have a secure income, a peaceful environment, and plenty of time to enjoy life in Thailand.

What kind of employment contract do I receive?

You’ll receive a full-time, unlimited contract under Thai law. We ask new employees to plan for at least one year — most people stay longer because they enjoy the lifestyle and stability.

Do I get help with my visa and work permit?

Absolutely. Our HR and Employee Administration team prepares all documents and guides you through each step. You’ll apply for a 3-month Non-B visa at a Thai embassy in your home country. Once you arrive, we’ll handle the work permit and upgrade your visa to a one-year extension — renewable annually.

How about the conditions of employment at CLBS Ltd.?

As a Thai company, we adhere to local labor laws and conditions. Employees enjoy a range of benefits, including a quarterly holiday bonus, daily fresh fruits, and a weekly massage. We also offer 24 days of paid leave and 5 days of unpaid leave each year. Additionally, employees in each department (France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Spain, and the UK) are entitled to their contractually agreed public holidays.

Am I insured while working at CLBS?

Yes, from your very first day. You’ll receive Thai social insurance (including health coverage) and private health insurance for immediate access to excellent hospitals in Chiang Mai. Medical care in Thailand is modern, professional, and affordable — you’ll be in good hands.

What are the office hours?

Our teams mainly work during European business hours, since we support clients across Europe. That means your workday in Chiang Mai usually starts around 11 a.m. and ends between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., depending on your department. You’ll always get your schedule two weeks in advance, and you’ll have time during the day to relax, explore, or exercise.

What kind of work will I do?

We are an outsourcing company that assists small- and medium-sized companies as well as freelancers throughout Europe and Asia, which are supported by the Board of Investment here in Thailand. At CLBS, you support clients by taking on some of their daily tasks at busy or stressful times. You are the ‘helping hand in the background’ who will be relied upon whenever they are unable to handle their incoming phone calls. Your primary task will be the receipt and handling of customer enquiries by phone about various topics and for various clients. CLBS provides inbound customer support — no sales.

Do you help me when I arrive in Chiang Mai?

Yes! We’ll pick you up at the airport and provide a free apartment for your first two weeks. Our Employee Administration and Buddy System will help you register locally, find housing, and settle in easily. You’ll have someone by your side from the very first day.

Is there any support after my arrival in Chiang Mai and what are the initial things I must do?

We pick you up from the airport and provide you a free apartment nearby the company for the first two weeks of your stay. Your new colleagues will provide you an easy start at CLBS Ltd. and are available for questions and back up anytime. Our Employee Administration department also supports you with the first important visit to the authorities. Furthermore, we established a buddy system which means that you have a contact person right from the beginning. He or she is dedicated to helping you quickly find your way around Chiang Mai and CLBS Ltd.

Can I recommend someone to join?
