The elephant is one of the most remarkable and best loved animals in the world. It has always held the respect and affection of man to the point that in many parts of Asia and beyond, the elephant has a symbolic and even religious significance. Elephants have been revered for centuries in Asia, playing an important role in the continent's culture and religion. They also play a critical role in maintaining the region's forests. However, due to forces such as deforestation and poaching , their habitat is shrinking and Asian elephants are now endangered species.
Thankfully, fewer and fewer places are allowing tourists to ride them or forcing them to perform tricks for an audience; just witnessing them and helping to love and care for them is enough. We are grateful that these kind sanctuaries are helping to support our elephant friends and rescue them from harmful situations. On Saturday, it was time to pay a meaningful visit in a respectful and loving way. Everyone had an unforgettable experience, we've learned so much about them and couldn't help but falling in love with these gentle creatures. We spent the whole day walking alongside them in the jungle, bathing together in the river and giving them a delicious assortment of food. A perfect day for a wonderful cause. #itsmorethanjustajob #clbsjobs
